Strike One Baseball Summer Camp

We provide a safe and productive environment that enables kids to learn teamwork, discipline, dedication and have fun!

PROGRAM We provide a safe and productive environment that enables kids to learn teamwork, discipline, baseball fundamentals and have fun! A great opportunity to receive individual attention on hitting, defense, pitching, infield and outfield play.

SESSION 1 Monday – Friday, July 23 – July 27

SESSION 2 Monday – Friday, July 30 – August 3

SCHEDULE 9AM – 3PM Daily

KIDS 8 – 13 years old

STUDENTS Can NOT be incoming freshmen at Loyola High School

ENROLL Parents must complete the Liability Waiver (available below) or email the camp director at strikeonebaseball@gmail.com

DIRECTIONS From the 405 Freeway, take Normandie exit North. Turn right on Venice Boulevard and the baseball field is located on the left before you reach the Loyola High School main entrance.

PARKING Available for free on Venice Blvd.

BASEBALL FUNDAMENTALS

Hitting: Bunting, live batting practive, mechanics, mental approach, situational at bats

Defense: Infield play, outfield play, situational

Pitching: Mechanics, grips for different pitches, pick offs

Infield: Base running, slides, situational

Outfield: Angles, foot work, mechanics, routes, throwing accuracy

DAILY SCHEDULE

8:45 – 9:00 Check-In
9:00 – 10:00 Warm-Up / Stretch
10:00 – Noon Instruction Circuit
Noon – 12:45 Lunch
12:45 – 1:30 Individual Instruction
1:30 – 3:00 Scrimmage Game

CAMP DIRECTOR

Brian Felten has been the Head Coach at Loyola High School since 2006. In that time, Coach Felten has led the Cubs to the 2007 CIF Championship and five CIF playoffs. He was awarded CIF Coach of the Year for the success of his 2007 squad. Coach Felten is an alumni of Loyola Marymount University, where he played on three consecutive WCC championship clubs. He has also coached in the prestigious Cape Cod Summer League. Coach Felten has experience coaching at levels ranging from eight years old through the college level.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

In consideration for my child being permitted to participate in Strike One Baseball summer camp, related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledge and agrees that: as the natural parent and/or as the legally authorized guardian, do hereby for myself, my spouse, my child, and on behalf of my/our heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, agree not to use and hereby release, waive, discharge, hold harmless and indemnify and forever defend Strike One Baseball (and the field located at Loyola High School of Los Angeles) and collectively, its officers, employees, servants, agents, and directors, from any and all liability, losses, claims, actions, suits, procedures, demands, rights, and causes of action or whatever nature, in law and equity, for any and all known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, bodily or personal injuries, death and permanent injury, illnesses, damage to property, or other losses, and any consequences thereof, including expenses, costs, and attorney’s fees, as may be sustained by my child or me arising out of or in any way associated with my child’s participation in Strike One Baseball summer camp, or travel incident thereto, whether by negligence or not to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The risk of serious injury to my child from these camp activities does exist including the potential for permanent disability and death. I understand and fully acknowledge that my child’s participation in these activities is solely at our own risk and I assume full responsibility. I hereby further declare that my child has had a physical examination within the past one (1) year and is physically able to participate in all camp activities. Moreover, I hereby understand and affirm that the camp only provides for excess medical insurance and any charges including deductibles related to the medical care provided to my child will be the responsibility of my primary insurance carrier or me.

Strike One Baseball is open to any and all entrants, limited only by age and grade level. Refund may be provided one (1) week prior to the stat date. For all balances due at registration, no refund is provided for days absent once payment is received.
